How it works

The unit tracks battery voltage and disconnects the load once voltage falls below a threshold set by the installer, preventing the deep discharge that shortens battery life. When voltage recovers to the reconnect point, the load switches back on automatically. The delay between disconnect and reconnect is configurable, which stops rapid cycling where voltage recovery is slow.

This is a one-way protection device for load circuits. It must not be fitted between a charger and a battery, since it is not designed to carry charging current.

Used for auxiliary load protection in off-grid solar systems, marine circuits, campervans, caravans, motorhomes, light commercial vehicles and remote monitoring or telecoms equipment running on 12V or 24V batteries.

Installation notes

Fit the BatteryProtect in the load circuit only, between battery and DC loads. Size cables and fuses on both sides for the 65A rating. Check BMS compatibility before enabling Li-ion mode on lithium systems. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or experienced DC systems integrator.
