Before Connecting Solar Panels

Calculate the total array open-circuit voltage (Voc), including the increase expected in cold conditions, and keep it below the 150V absolute input limit with the required design margin. Check parallel-string short-circuit current, total array wattage and cable protection as separate limits.

The 1300W, 2600W, 3900W and 5200W figures apply to different battery-system voltages. They are not interchangeable. Confirm the connected battery bank can safely accept the controller's configured charging current.

Battery Compatibility

The listed charging modes support flooded, AGM and gel lead-acid batteries plus compatible lithium-ion batteries. Select and verify the battery profile against the battery manufacturer's required bulk, absorption and float settings. Equalisation must not be applied to batteries that prohibit it.
