How it works

RS485 is a common serial standard across Victron's solar and energy storage products, but dedicated signal cables are not always practical to install. This converter keeps the RS485 protocol intact at both ends while carrying the data over Zigbee instead of copper. Units are used in pairs, or as part of a wider Zigbee network: one connects at the GX device, the other at the RS485 device, and data passes between them wirelessly.
