The Victron Inverter 24/1600 230V Smart converts a 24V DC battery bank into 230V AC pure sine wave power, with a continuous output of 1600VA. It's built for off-grid systems, vehicle conversions and backup power where a combined inverter/charger isn't needed. Bluetooth is built in, so the VictronConnect app handles setup and monitoring without extra hardware.

System integration

The unit connects to a Victron GX device such as a Cerbo GX for full monitoring through the VRM online portal, and fits into the wider Victron GX ecosystem for larger off-grid or backup setups. As a standalone inverter it does not include a battery charger.

Installation notes

This inverter runs at voltages and currents that can cause injury or fire if wired incorrectly, so installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician familiar with DC battery systems and 230V AC wiring. DC cabling must be sized for the current draw at 24V under full load, and the battery bank needs a suitably rated fuse or breaker close to the terminals. It is not designed for grid connection and does not require G98 or G99 notification.
