How the charging process works

A microprocessor-controlled algorithm monitors battery response during the absorption phase and adjusts charge time accordingly, which reduces stress on the battery compared with a fixed-time charge. The seven stages cover bulk, absorption, float, storage and a periodic equalisation cycle for lead-acid types.

Bluetooth means the charger can be set up and checked from a phone or tablet through VictronConnect, useful where the unit sits somewhere awkward to reach. Charge profiles, presets and live voltage and current readings are all available without a separate interface cable.
