Product overview

The Orion-Tr uses an isolated, transformer-based topology, so the input and output share no common electrical path. That matters in vehicles, vessels and off-grid systems where two battery banks must stay separate for safety, noise rejection or regulatory reasons. Unlike a non-isolated converter, it can charge a secondary battery from a primary bank without creating a ground fault path between them.

At 280W and 12A output it can charge a secondary 24V service battery from a 24V starter or house bank, power 24V DC loads from an isolated supply, or feed sensitive electronics with a clean, regulated voltage. It is part of Victron's Orion-Tr series, which covers a range of input and output voltage combinations sharing the same isolated design.
