Applications

It charges a 12V auxiliary battery from a 24V vehicle or truck system, powers 12V accessory circuits on vessels with a 24V house bank, and supplies 12V loads in off-grid cabins or caravans running a 24V primary system. It also provides an isolated 12V rail in ambulances and specialist commercial vehicles, and keeps 24V and 12V circuits electrically separate on mixed-voltage narrowboats and yachts.

Installation notes

Fitting should be carried out by a qualified electrician or experienced DC systems installer. Input and output wiring must be correctly rated, with fusing on both circuits. Mount the unit somewhere ventilated and away from flammable materials. Marine installations should follow NMEA and RCD Directive wiring standards, and input voltage compatibility should be checked before connecting to any battery system.
