The Victron Orion-Tr 24/48-2,5A is a galvanically isolated DC-DC converter that steps up a 24V DC input to a 48V DC output at 2.5A continuous, delivering up to 120W. It suits mobile, marine, off-grid and industrial systems where two DC circuits need to be joined without sharing a ground reference.

Applications

This converter powers 48V auxiliary loads from a 24V battery bank on boats, and supplies 48V communication or navigation equipment in commercial vehicles running a 24V system. It can also top up a small 48V battery from a 24V source where a dedicated charger isn't fitted, or link two isolated DC bus systems inside industrial or telecoms enclosures. In caravans, motorhomes and boats it can feed a stable 48V supply to LED lighting circuits or control electronics.

Output

The output voltage is fixed, so there's no adjustment to make during installation. This unit does not include Bluetooth or VE.Direct connectivity, and operates as a standalone converter without remote monitoring.

Installation notes

Fit this converter with correct fusing on both input and output circuits, matched to the wire gauge used. It is intended for fixed installation in a location with adequate ventilation.
