The Victron MK2.2b is a wired interface that converts VE.Bus communication to RS232 serial protocol, letting a PC connect directly to VE.Bus-equipped inverters and inverter/chargers. Product overview
RS232 remains the standard interface for VEConfigure and VEFlash, and the MK2.2b handles the VE.Bus side of that connection. Installers use it to set system parameters, adjust charge curves, configure parallel or three-phase multi-unit systems, and push firmware updates in the field.
Laptops and modern PCs without a native RS232 port will need a separate USB-to-RS232 adapter alongside this interface. The MK2.2b only performs the VE.Bus-to-RS232 conversion; it does not provide USB connectivity itself, and it is not a substitute for the VE.Bus Smart Dongle or other wireless monitoring accessories.
