Description
The Victron MEGA fuse 400A/80V is a blade-style fuse for protecting battery cables and DC wiring in solar, off-grid and marine electrical systems. It carries a 400A continuous current rating and an 80V DC voltage rating, and is sold as a pack of five for installers who need spares on hand for commissioning or maintenance.

Applications
Used for battery cable protection on 12V, 24V and 48V DC systems, inverter input fusing on high-current installations, and DC distribution boards in off-grid solar setups. Also suited to marine and vehicle electrical systems, and as a replacement fuse for existing MEGA fuseholder installations.
Fitting notes
This fuse must be installed in a compatible MEGA fuseholder, sold separately. Isolate the battery bank before replacing or installing fuses. Choose a fuse rating based on cable rating and system design rather than load current alone. Never fit a higher-rated replacement fuse without first finding and fixing the cause of the overcurrent event. Work above 48V, or on grid-connected systems, should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
