Why the IP67 rating matters

Most chargers are meant for a workshop bench. This one is sealed against dust and splashing, so it can stay permanently mounted in a locker, engine bay or similar spot where damp or condensation is a real possibility. Installation notes

The charger connects to a standard 230V UK socket via its fitted BS 1363 plug, with no hardwiring needed. DC connections to the battery should use appropriately rated cable and fusing in line with the battery maker's guidance. Check the charge profile matches the battery chemistry before first use, and for lithium (LiFePO4) confirm compatibility with the battery management system beforehand. The IP67 rating allows use in damp locations, but the unit should not be submerged while running. For larger off-grid or marine systems, installation by a qualified electrician or marine electrical engineer is recommended.
