The Victron Energy BlueSolar MPPT 100/30 is a compact, fanless solar charge controller with ultrafast maximum power point tracking, advanced partial shading detection, and 98% peak efficiency for reliable 12V and 24V off-grid solar applications.
Key Features:
- Ultrafast MPPT Technology — Continuously tracks the true maximum power point to improve energy harvest by up to 30% over PWM controllers and up to 10% over slower MPPT controllers in all light conditions.
- Advanced Partial Shading Detection — Proprietary BlueSolar algorithm scans the full power-voltage curve to always lock onto the optimum MPP, even when partial shading creates multiple power peaks.
- Fanless 98% Peak Efficiency — No cooling fan required, with maximum efficiency exceeding 98% and full rated output maintained up to 40°C without derating.
- Eight Pre-Programmed Charge Algorithms — Selectable via rotary switch with full programmability, covering all major battery chemistries for immediate out-of-the-box use.
- Internal Temperature Sensor — Automatically compensates absorption and float charge voltages for ambient temperature to ensure accurate, battery-safe charging at all times.
The BlueSolar MPPT 100/30 supports 12V and 24V battery systems with automatic voltage detection, delivering 30A of rated charge current and handling up to 440W of PV power on 12V and 880W on 24V systems. Its 100V maximum PV open circuit voltage provides broad solar panel compatibility for mid-size off-grid installations. Real-time data monitoring is available through Color Control GX or other GX devices for wired system integration.
Bluetooth access is available via a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle for wireless smartphone monitoring and configuration. Comprehensive electronic protection covers PV reverse polarity, PV reverse current, output short circuit, and over-temperature power derating for dependable long-term field performance.
The IP43-rated blue enclosure operates across a -30°C to +60°C temperature range and meets international safety certifications including UL 1741 and CSA C22.2.
