The MPPT 100/50 controller handles PV arrays with open-circuit voltages up to 100V, suiting small to medium string configurations. Its 50A maximum charge current is matched to 24V battery systems, giving reasonable solar harvest without oversizing the battery bank.

PowerControl monitors available mains current so the combined load of charger and connected AC loads doesn't exceed the shore or generator supply limit. PowerAssist goes further, drawing on the battery to cover short demand spikes that might otherwise trip a breaker or overload a small generator. Both functions are configurable, useful where mains supply is limited or a generator handles backup charging.

VE.Direct connectivity allows integration with Victron GX devices such as the Cerbo GX for monitoring, data logging and remote access. Configuration runs through the VictronConnect app over Bluetooth, using a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle, or directly via a GX device, so commissioning doesn't require a laptop on site.

Installation notes

Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or accredited installer familiar with battery-based solar systems, connected to a 24V battery bank of appropriate capacity. PV array open-circuit voltage must not exceed 100V under any conditions, including cold weather. Grid-connected or export installations may require G98 or G99 compliance and a DNO notification.
