This Victron current sensor pairs with the MultiPlus-II inverter/charger to give it an accurate read on AC current. The clamp-style transformer fits around a single conductor and outputs a 50mA signal for every 100A flowing through it, with a 5-metre cable so it can sit at the measurement point while the MultiPlus-II is mounted elsewhere.

Applications

Used for grid or load current monitoring on MultiPlus-II systems, including off-grid and hybrid solar setups and battery storage installations that need AC current feedback for energy management. It also suits retrofits where a CT wasn't supplied with the original MultiPlus-II installation.

Installation notes

Fit around a single AC conductor only. Placing it around two conductors, or a twin-and-earth cable, will give a wrong or zero reading. Route and secure the cable away from heat, sharp edges and moving parts, and follow Victron's wiring guidance for the MultiPlus-II. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and UK grid-connected systems must meet G98 or G99 requirements as applicable.
