Product overview

A PWM controller connects the solar panel directly to the battery once it reaches a set voltage, then switches the connection on and off rapidly to hold the correct charge level. This suits smaller systems where an MPPT controller's cost isn't justified. The BlueSolar PWM range is built to Victron's usual standards, making it a dependable choice for entry-level installations.

The LCD screen lets installers and users read battery voltage and charge current directly from the unit, with no app or extra display needed. The USB port powers mobile devices without drawing from the battery through a separate charger.

The load output's low-voltage disconnect cuts the connected load when battery voltage drops below a preset threshold, preventing deep discharge, which matters for lead-acid batteries as repeated deep cycling shortens their service life.

Installation notes

Fit by a competent person familiar with 12V and 24V DC systems. The solar panel's open-circuit voltage must not exceed the controller's rated input. Connect the battery before the solar panel, and disconnect in reverse order. Follow relevant wiring regulations for boat or vehicle installations. This unit is not intended for grid-connected systems and does not need G98 or G99 compliance.
