The sealed, splash-proof housing suits engine bays, boat bilge areas, caravans and any location where moisture or debris is a realistic concern. It can stay connected without the ingress risk that affects a standard unrated charger.

VictronConnect removes the need for a separate display. Charge profiles are set and checked from a phone, useful when the charger sits somewhere hard to reach. The app also logs historical charge data for tracking battery health.

The adaptive algorithm watches battery response during absorption and adjusts accordingly. A battery in good condition moves to float sooner; an older or deeply discharged one gets a longer absorption cycle. Storage mode then lowers voltage further to slow self-discharge and reduce plate corrosion in lead-acid batteries.

Installation notes

Connect to 230V AC mains via the supplied CEE 7/17 plug, protected by an appropriate fuse or breaker. Wire the DC output to the battery with correct polarity, checking the battery manufacturer's charge voltage settings, especially when setting lithium profiles in VictronConnect. The IP65 rating covers dust and splashes, not submersion or continuous water flow. For permanent vehicle or marine fitting, use a qualified auto-electrician or marine electrician.
