The Victron Blue Smart IP67 24/12 is a single-output 12A battery charger for 24V battery banks. The fully sealed aluminium housing is rated IP67, protected against dust and temporary water immersion, and it connects to the mains via a CEE 7/7 Schuko plug. Charge settings and history are managed wirelessly through the VictronConnect app.

Product overview

The sealed aluminium housing sets this charger apart from open-frame designs, making it suited to marine installations, vehicle engine bays, agricultural equipment and any location where washdown or condensation is routine. At 12A output on a 24V bank it charges batteries within a range that depends on acceptable charge time. During absorption, the algorithm adjusts duration to reduce the risk of overcharging and sulphation on lead-acid batteries. A dedicated lithium profile is available for LiFePO4 packs, which disables equalisation and sets the correct absorption and float voltages.

VictronConnect removes the need for a separate display. Charge stage, battery voltage, error codes and history are all visible on a phone, and settings such as absorption voltage, float voltage and temperature compensation are adjusted there too.

Applications

Used for charging 24V service or starter batteries on boats, maintaining leisure batteries in campervans and motorhomes, charging vehicle batteries on agricultural or construction equipment, and float-charging battery banks in off-grid cabins, outbuildings and plant rooms where moisture is a concern.

Installation notes

Connect to a standard 230V AC Schuko socket and to the battery via correctly rated, fused DC leads. Fixed installations should be wired by a qualified electrician. Select the correct chemistry profile in VictronConnect before first use, and never use the lithium profile on lead-acid batteries or vice versa.
