Product overview

The Blue Smart IP65 range uses a sealed, dust and splash-proof housing, which makes it practical in locations a standard charger would struggle with. This 24V 13A model fits larger 24V banks found in commercial vehicles, motorhomes, narrowboats and off-grid cabins. At 13A it will bring a 100Ah battery from flat to full in roughly 8 to 10 hours, depending on state and chemistry.

Bluetooth is built in as standard. Through VictronConnect, an installer or end user can select the right battery profile, watch charge status in real time and check historical charge data. On a simple single-battery setup this removes the need for a separate display. The app can also lock the charger to one profile, useful when handing a system over to someone non-technical.

The adaptive algorithm adjusts charge time and voltage to battery condition. A battery that's regularly deep-discharged gets a longer absorption phase; one kept in good condition moves to float sooner. Storage mode lowers float voltage further, cutting electrolyte loss during long idle periods.

Installation notes

Connects directly to a standard UK 13A socket via the supplied plug. Check battery terminal polarity before connecting output leads: reverse polarity triggers the built-in protection, but repeated incorrect connection can damage the charger or battery. For permanent or semi-permanent fitting in a vehicle or vessel, secure the unit to a fixed surface using the mounting points provided and allow adequate ventilation. LiFePO4 profiles must be selected manually in VictronConnect before first use. On larger off-grid or marine systems, connection should be carried out by a qualified electrician or marine electrical engineer.
