Product overview

The Blue Smart IP65 range uses a fully sealed, splash-resistant housing rather than a standard bench design. This 12/4 model delivers 4A of charge current, appropriate for batteries up to around 100Ah where a slow, conditioning charge is preferred, or for maintaining smaller batteries left unused for extended periods. The charger selects the correct charge stage automatically and adjusts output based on battery condition.

Bluetooth is part of the unit itself. Through VictronConnect an installer can check charge status, adjust the charge profile, set battery capacity and review historical data, which matters when the charger sits somewhere awkward to reach, such as a locker or under a seat. The seven-stage algorithm covers bulk, absorption, float and storage phases, plus an automatic recondition cycle for sulphated lead-acid batteries. Lithium profiles are also included.

Applications

Fits maintaining starter or leisure batteries in vehicles, campervans and motorhomes in storage. Suits AGM or gel batteries in marine and narrowboat use where moisture resistance matters, and workshop conditioning of batteries on plant, agricultural or commercial vehicles.
