How it works

The switch selects between two AC inputs, typically mains and generator, and connects whichever is preferred or available to the load. If the primary source fails or drifts outside acceptable parameters, it transfers to the secondary source automatically. That matters in unattended installations: off-grid cabins, boats, backup systems where nobody is present to intervene.

At 10KVA it handles a substantial load on a single-phase circuit. The 200-250Vac range covers standard UK 230Vac supplies and most European grid voltages.
