Product overview

A glass mat separator holds the electrolyte in place instead of letting it pool freely. This removes the risk of acid spillage and cuts gassing during normal operation, so the battery can go into locations with limited ventilation, such as inside a boat, caravan or battery enclosure.

The deep cycle rating means the battery is built to deliver sustained current over longer periods and recover from deeper states of discharge than a starter battery. That matters for solar storage and off-grid systems, where the battery may be drawn down each evening and recharged the next day. The 60Ah figure is a C20 rating, based on a 20-hour discharge to the end-of-discharge voltage; usable capacity varies with discharge rate and temperature.
