Product overview

AGM deep cycle batteries use thicker plates and denser active material than standard standby batteries, letting them withstand repeated deep discharge and recharge cycles. The C20 rating means the 220Ah figure is measured over a 20-hour discharge period. The AGM separator holds electrolyte against the plates rather than letting it pool freely, which improves charge acceptance and reduces internal resistance compared with flooded equivalents. It can be installed in any orientation except inverted, with no acid spillage risk during transport or installation.

Applications

Suited to solar energy storage in off-grid and hybrid systems with MPPT or PWM charge controllers, marine house battery banks, motorhome and campervan leisure installations, UPS and backup power for telecoms or security equipment, and remote site power.
