Product overview

The Orion-Tr range uses a transformer-based topology for true galvanic isolation between input and output. This prevents unwanted current paths between two battery banks, guards against ground faults, and lets the output float independently of the input reference. In a 48V system feeding a 24V auxiliary circuit, that isolation is often a safety requirement.

At 380W continuous, the converter can run 24V lighting circuits, communication gear, control systems, or top up a secondary battery bank. The output voltage trimmer lets installers compensate for cable voltage drop or set a precise float or absorption voltage for a secondary 24V bank.

The aluminium enclosure dissipates heat passively and is meant for fixed installation. This model does not include Bluetooth or remote on/off as standard. If remote switching or monitoring is needed, Victron offers Smart and non-isolated variants elsewhere in the Orion-Tr range.

Installation notes

Install with a competent electrician or qualified DC power installer. Fuse both input and output sides correctly, and size input wiring for the full input current at 48V. Adjust the output voltage trimmer only with proper test equipment connected. Follow relevant wiring standards for marine vessel types, and avoid enclosed spaces without ventilation for passive heat dissipation.
