The 48/500 sits at the entry point of Victron's VE.Direct inverter range. It takes a 48V nominal battery input and produces a clean 230V AC sine wave, so it works with sensitive electronics as well as standard appliances within its power rating. The SCHUKO socket lets you plug a load straight in, without extra wiring to a distribution board.

The VE.Direct port is the main way to see what the inverter is doing. Connect it to a Cerbo GX or other GX device for system-level monitoring, or to a laptop or phone through a VE.Direct to USB cable and VictronConnect. That gives an installer visibility of operating state, input voltage and fault conditions remotely.

At 500VA this unit suits individual loads such as lighting circuits, small tools, charging gear or low-draw appliances. It is not intended for high-current loads like kettles, immersion heaters or motor-start equipment. Match the load to the continuous rating for reliable operation.

Installation notes

Connect directly to a 48V DC battery bank with DC cable and fusing sized for the current draw at 48V. The SCHUKO output allows direct plug-in use, but a fixed installation should be wired by a qualified electrician. This inverter is not grid-connected, so G98 or G99 notification does not apply. VE.Direct accessories such as a USB interface cable are sold separately and are needed for VictronConnect on a PC or Mac.
