Product overview

The 24/250 sits at the entry level of Victron's VE.Direct inverter range. Sized for individual loads such as laptops, lighting circuits, small power tools or low-draw appliances, it runs directly from a 24V battery bank. The SCHUKO socket means no adaptor is needed for standard European and UK-compatible plugs.

The VE.Direct port lets the inverter report into a wider Victron system, sending status data to a Cerbo GX or other GX device and allowing remote on/off control. Used on its own, the VictronConnect app via a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle gives access to settings and live data without a laptop.

Why pure sine wave matters

Many inverters at this price point produce modified sine wave output, which can cause problems with motor-driven appliances, battery chargers and some electronics. The 24/250 produces a clean sine wave, so its output suits any load that would normally run from a mains socket.

Installation notes

This inverter connects directly to a 24V DC battery bank. DC wiring, fusing and cable sizing must suit the current draw at full load. DC connections at 24V can carry significant current, so installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or experienced installer. This inverter is not grid-tied and does not require G98 or G99 notification, and it is not suitable for 12V battery systems.
