Description
This Waveshare heavy duty USB 2.0 hub extends a single monitoring controller into four usable USB ports, drawing from two switchable host inputs. It suits Solar Assistant setups built on an Orange Pi 3 LTS or a Raspberry Pi, where several inverters and peripherals such as a Pylontech RS232 cable need to share one control platform.

Applications
The hub adds USB capacity to a Solar Assistant monitoring controller so multiple inverters can be wired in at once. It also lets a Solar Assistant inverter cable and a Pylontech battery cable connect to the same controller simultaneously.
Installation notes
Plug the hub into the USB port of the Solar Assistant Orange Pi or Raspberry Pi. No drivers are needed for standard USB 2.0 operation on Linux-based systems.
