A coplanar mounting kit for fitting solar panels to tiled roofs in portrait orientation, using adjustable stainless steel hooks and aluminium rails. No drilling or cutting is needed: the hook slides under the tile and locks onto the batten, then the rail clips onto the hook to hold the panel flush against the roof pitch. Supplied per module, with kits available from 1 to 20 modules.

How it installs

The installer lifts the tile, positions the hook on the batten, and lays the tile back over it. The hook protrudes through the gap between tiles, and the rail clamp clips onto the hook to carry the rail and panel. Because the rails connect with included connectors, rows of any length can be built without cutting on site.

Applications

Suited to coplanar solar PV installations on standard interlocking tiled roofs, in portrait orientation, for arrays of 1 to 20 modules. It gives a flush, low-profile mounting for residential installations.

Installation notes

Fit by a qualified solar installer only. Hooks must be fixed to sound, load-bearing roof battens, and the hook profile should be checked against the specific tile type before fitting. Do not use where battens are undersized or deteriorated.
