The Tigo Access Point (TAP) and Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA) kit brings module-level monitoring and optimisation control to a solar PV system. The CCA works as the central hub, linking to the internet by Wi-Fi or a direct cable. The TAP fits on the roof and talks wirelessly to each Tigo optimiser fitted below it, making it a solar panel optimiser system that reports performance panel by panel.

Applications

This kit suits residential and commercial PV systems using Tigo TS4 series optimisers, including installations that need module-level rapid shutdown compliance. Large arrays split across multiple roof faces, or with physical barriers between panels, can use extra TAPs wired in series with CAT5/RS-485 cable. For most small residential systems on a single roof face, one TAP is enough to cover the array.

Installation notes

The CCA needs an AC power supply and a connection to the internet router. Use UV-resistant outdoor CAT5/RS-485 cable for the roof TAP connection, and position the TAP centrally in the array for the best wireless coverage. Installation and commissioning should be carried out by a qualified solar installer or electrician.
