LED chips from Nichia, Honglitronic and CREE sit on a printed circuit board with thermal vias, mounted inside an anodised aluminium housing that carries heat away from the diodes. Installation and compatibility

This tube installs as a direct replacement in most fittings without extra wiring. In fittings with a double-ended connection, a quick rewire is needed, because the tube requires a single-ended power connection. Remove the existing starter and fit the LED starter supplied with the tube, then power on. If the fixture runs from an electronic ballast, the ballast should be removed or bypassed and the tube connected directly to mains voltage. The tube complies with EU and British Standards for protection against electric shock.
