The Ledison T8 LED tube is a 180cm (1778mm) single-ended retrofit tube built as a direct replacement for a 70W fluorescent tube. LED chips from Nichia, Honglitronic and CREE sit on a printed circuit board with thermal vias, housed in anodised aluminium that helps carry heat away from the chips, and finished with a frosted cover for even light spread.

Installation and applications

The tube fits into existing fluorescent fittings without extra wiring in most cases. A double-ended fitting needs a quick rewire, since this tube runs from a single-ended power connection. Remove the old starter and fit the LED starter supplied with the tube, then power on. Where the fitting uses an electronic ballast, the ballast must be removed or bypassed and the tube wired directly to mains voltage. It runs on 100-265V at 50/60Hz and is not dimmable. The tube complies with EU and British Standards for protection against electric shock, and carries TUV, RoHS, CE and UL certification, backed by a 5 year warranty.
