The Ledison T8 LED Tube measures 120cm (1213mm) and delivers 2400 lumens from a 20W rating, giving a direct swap for a 36W fluorescent tube. It uses LED chips from established makers such as Nichia, Honglitronic and CREE, with a colour rendering index above 80 for accurate colour reproduction.

Installation

Fits into a conventional T8 fitting without extra wiring in most cases. Remove the old starter and fit the LED starter supplied with the tube, then install the tube and switch on. If the fixture uses an electronic ballast, the ballast must be removed or bypassed and the tube wired directly to mains, and double-ended fittings need a quick rewire since this tube takes a single-ended power connection.

Construction and finish

The housing is anodised aluminium paired with a low resistance thermal material, which helps carry heat away from the LED chips mounted on the printed circuit board. A frosted cover spreads the light evenly across the diffuser rather than leaving a visible line source.
