This 150cm T5 LED tube replaces a fluorescent T5 fitting with a mains powered LED tube that draws 25W and outputs 3000lm. The driver is built into the tube itself, so there is no separate control gear to fit.

Design and installation

The tube is built on a wider 22mm T6 body rather than the slimmer standard T5 diameter, which is what allows the isolated driver to sit safely inside the tube. It still fits the length and mounting of a standard T5 fitting. Because the driver needs a single-ended power connection, a double-ended fitting will need rewiring before this tube is installed.

LEDs are SMD 2835 chips arranged for even light distribution across the length of the tube, and thermal vias in the board help move heat away from the LEDs.

Certifications

The tube is tested to a 4000V high voltage insulation standard and carries TÜV Rheinland, CE, RoHS and UL certification.

Applications

Suited to retrofitting existing T5 fluorescent fittings in offices, retail units, workshops and domestic spaces where a direct swap to LED is wanted without replacing the fitting itself.
