The Solis S5-GR1P1K is a compact 1kW single-phase grid tied solar inverter built for small PV installations. A 60V start-up voltage lets it begin generating in low light, and its dynamic MPPT tracker holds efficiency above 99% across a range of panel types. The IP65 rating suits outdoor mounting.

Product overview

The wide 0 to 8A current input range makes the inverter compatible with a broad set of modern panel designs, while the dynamic MPPT continues tracking the maximum power point regardless of cell count or configuration. QNS anti-islanding protection disconnects the unit from the grid automatically if supply is interrupted, meeting grid connection requirements. DRM (Demand Response Mode) is built in. Installation and safety notes

Fitting should be carried out by a qualified electrician or MCS-accredited solar installer. UK grid-connected inverters require G98 notification or G99 application to the DNO before connection, and all DC isolators, AC protection and earthing must comply with BS 7671 and the relevant MCS standards. This is not a DIY connection to the grid.
