The Beetle is a 4W LED solar wall light with a lithium battery, motion sensor and dimmable output. It uses an Osram LED chip and is designed for pathways, driveways, yards and patios where running mains cable is impractical.

Solar garden light with smart output modes

Power comes from a 1 Watt mono-crystalline solar panel with a built-in reflector that helps charge the battery faster in daylight. A lithium 18650 battery cell rated at 3.7V and 5Ah stores the charge, with a stated charge time of 4 to 5 hours. A multi-functional red button lets you set the fitting to one of three modes.

• Red indicator, dimmed output at 40lm with PIR motion sensor active all night
• Orange indicator, 100lm output for the first 3 hours with no sensor, then 40lm with PIR sensor for the rest of the night
• Green indicator, full 400lm output from dawn to dusk
• Battery gauge, a blue light indicator shows autonomy, from 1 bar (2 nights) up to 4 bars (8 nights)
