The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 is a solar charge controller for 12V and 24V battery systems, accepting a maximum solar input of 100V and delivering up to 30A of charge current. How it works

The controller runs a multi-stage MPPT algorithm that tracks the optimal operating point of the connected panels, which matters most during partial shading, early morning or late afternoon light, or when panels run hot. Built-in Bluetooth replaces the external dongle needed on older Victron MPPT units, so setup and monitoring happen through the free VictronConnect app on iOS or Android. Where a system needs wider integration, the VE.Direct port links to GX devices such as the Cerbo GX for full monitoring through the VRM portal.

The load output switches up to 30A of DC power for lighting or auxiliary loads. A programmable timer and street lighting mode can turn loads on at dusk and off at dawn or after a set period, useful in standalone off-grid systems that would otherwise need a separate load controller.
