This Voltacon combiner box brings AC and DC protection together in one IP65 rated enclosure, sized 430 x 330 x 180mm. Built for hybrid and off-grid solar systems up to 7kW single phase, it covers PV string protection, battery DC isolation, inverter AC protection, EV charger supply and surge protection in a single pre-wired unit.

How the solar pv combiner box works

The enclosure follows a single-line diagram layout, with each power interface on its own protective device and kept logically separate from the others.

Applications

Suited to single phase hybrid solar systems up to 7kW and off-grid setups combining PV, battery and optional generator or grid backup. It also works well where EV charging needs its own protected supply, or where a single organised AC/DC enclosure is preferred over separate boards.

Installation notes

Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Check inverter compatibility and AC/DC ratings before connecting. A Type B RCD is required for EV charger applications and is included. All connections must comply with current wiring regulations and local grid connection requirements.
