The Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/12-18A is a galvanically isolated DC-DC charger for vehicle, marine and off-grid systems where a secondary battery is charged from a 12V source. It supplies up to 18A, or 220W, of charge current and is configured over Bluetooth rather than physical switches.

Configuration and monitoring

Charge voltages, absorption time, tail current and the engine detection threshold are all set in VictronConnect, with no DIP switches involved. The unit can also join VE.Smart Networking, taking battery temperature and voltage readings from a connected BMV monitor or Smart Battery Sense for a more accurate charge.
