The Victron MultiPlus 24/2000/50-32 combines a true sine wave inverter and a battery charger in one unit, built for 24V DC battery banks with 230V AC output. It suits off-grid cabins, marine installations, vehicle conversions and backup power systems that need a programmable inverter charger.

How it works

When AC input is present, the unit charges the battery bank and passes power through to connected loads. If AC is lost, it switches to inverter mode in under 20 milliseconds. The 50A charger's adaptive algorithm adjusts the charge curve to the battery's behaviour, and a programmable relay handles generator start/stop or alarm signalling.

Applications

Installation notes

Fitting should be carried out by a qualified electrician familiar with DC battery systems and 230V AC wiring, using correctly sized DC cabling and fusing. Any grid or generator connection must comply with BS 7671. VE.Bus configuration needs Victron's VEConfigure software and an MK3-USB adapter or suitable interface cable. Do not install in an enclosed space without ventilation.
