High-Current System Design

The 230A continuous-discharge rating is the relevant limit for sustained loads; 345A is a pulse rating for up to five seconds. At this current level, cable length and cross-section, fuse selection, termination quality, isolation and voltage drop are critical.

Calculate the inverter’s actual DC demand at the planned AC load, including efficiency losses and start-up surge. Use a suitably qualified installer for permanent or high-power systems.

Charging Requirements

Use a LiFePO4-compatible MPPT controller, DC-DC charger or mains charger within the listed 115A charge-current and 14.6V cut-off limits. Charging is specified from 0°C to 45°C.

Solar-array wattage alone does not determine the charge rate; controller output, system voltage, battery state of charge and available sunlight also matter.

Series Configuration

The manufacturer lists up to four identical batteries in series. No maximum parallel configuration is stated in the supplied specifications, so confirm with the manufacturer before planning a parallel bank. Use matching batteries of the same model, age and state of charge.

Package Contents

  • One MOBI 300Ah LiFePO4 battery
  • User manual

Frequently Asked Questions

How much energy does a 300Ah lithium battery store?

At 12.8V, nominal energy is approximately 3,840Wh. Actual usable energy and runtime depend on the load, BMS operation, temperature, wiring and conversion losses.

Can it run high-power appliances?

Only when the appliance and inverter demands remain within the 230A continuous and 345A five-second battery limits, with correctly rated wiring and protection.
