The Ledison GU10 LED Bulb is a 5W spotlight with a Fresnel lens for a wider, soft-edged beam. Instead of a curved optical lens, the Fresnel design uses concentric grooves to spread the light, and the bulb is dimmable with a 60° beam angle.

Applications

This spotlight is built as a drop-in replacement for halogen reflector lamps, fitting standard GU10 fixtures without any alteration to the fitting itself. The narrow optical design directs light where it is needed, making it suited to display lighting, kitchens and any fixture that previously took a halogen MR16-style reflector.

Heat management

LEDs lose lifespan when they run hot. The aluminium heat sink surrounding the LED chip is there to carry heat away from the diode, which is part of how the fitting reaches its rated life expectancy of 40,000 hours.

Dimming

The bulb is dimmable, so it can be paired with a compatible dimmer switch for adjustable light levels rather than running at a single fixed output.
