The Calipso 7W LED Spot Downlight is a fire rated fitting with IP65 protection from the front, built for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and living spaces where a compact recessed light is needed. It switches between colour temperatures and dims smoothly on a standard wall dimmer, with no flicker.

Build and materials

The body is steel with a plastic driver housing and aluminium bezel, finished in white to sit flush against most ceiling finishes. Terminals are push in, loop-in/loop-out, housed in a polycarbonate terminal block. The fitting includes optimised thermal cooling to support lamp life and can be installed in lofts and ceiling voids with insulation present.

Where to use it

With an overall height of only 80mm, it fits into shallow ceiling voids. The IP65 rating from the front makes it suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms and other areas exposed to water spray. It meets the BS EN 60598 building standard for fire rated fittings.
