The Eastron SDM120CTM is a single phase multifunction DIN rail energy meter supplied complete with a 100mA CT current transformer. It measures a wide range of electrical parameters and communicates via RS485 Modbus RTU, making it suitable for use with most major solar inverter brands for export control and self-consumption monitoring.

Product overview

Built for residential, utility and industrial single phase installations, the bi-directional energy measurement makes it well suited to solar PV monitoring. This lets the inverter or energy management system track both consumption from the grid and any surplus export.

The RS485 port supports Modbus RTU at baud rates of 1200 to 9600 bps, with configurable parity, stop bits and Modbus address (1 to 247). Pulse output 1 is user-configurable for total, import or export kWh or kVArh. Pulse output 2 is fixed at total kWh at 1000 imp/kWh.

The SDM120CTM 100mA is used as the export/import meter for a wide range of solar inverter brands including Solis, Growatt, Deye, SolaX, Sungrow, FOXESS, Hypontech, Kstar and others. Always confirm the correct CT output rating (100mA) and Modbus version required by your inverter before ordering.
