The Conversol 11kW Ultra-Max is an off-grid inverter and charger built for large residential, commercial and critical backup power systems. Dual AC input and output connections combine with two independent MPPT solar controllers and a combined 12kW of PV input capacity, giving installers a single unit capable of serious off-grid duty with full parallel expansion.

Communication and protection
The Ultra-Max communicates via USB, RS232, RS485, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and includes built-in dry contact, GFCI, rapid shutdown and AFCI detection support.
Product overview
Built for demanding off-grid environments, the Ultra-Max pairs a high-output inverter with dual MPPT solar chargers and an AC charger in one enclosure. The dual AC design lets installers wire critical and non-critical loads separately, with precise control over priority and switching behaviour.
MPPT voltage range runs from 90V to 450VDC, with open circuit voltage up to 500VDC, so the system accepts a wide range of PV string configurations. Battery charging supports both lead-acid and lithium chemistries. Up to six units can be paralleled for installations needing 66kW or more of off-grid capacity.

Installation notes
Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or accredited solar installer. Battery cabling, fusing and DC isolators need to be correctly sized, and battery bank voltage, capacity and chemistry must match the inverter configuration before commissioning. Parallel operation requires compatible firmware and synchronisation cabling. Do not install without reviewing the full manual and complying with applicable wiring regulations.
