The Victron BlueSolar PWM-Light is a compact entry-level PWM solar charge controller rated at 5A, built for 12V and 24V battery systems. It automatically detects battery voltage on startup, so there's no manual configuration for small off-grid setups.

How it works

A PWM controller connects the solar panel directly to the battery during bulk charging, then switches the connection on and off rapidly to hold the target voltage through absorption and float. For small systems where panel voltage is close to battery voltage, this is a simpler and cheaper approach than MPPT.

Stripped-back by design

The PWM-Light is the simplest unit in Victron's PWM range. It leaves out the VE.Direct port and programmability of the Pro models, keeping cost and complexity down while still offering the load output with low-voltage disconnect.

Suited to small off-grid cabins and garden buildings with a single panel, caravans and campervans needing basic solar maintenance, portable camping setups, and small 12V or 24V top-up systems on boats and leisure vehicles.
