The Victron Battery Alarm GX is a compact audible and visual alarm unit that connects to a Victron GX device such as the Cerbo GX or Color Control GX. It gives an on-site warning when battery voltage falls to a critical level, without needing a connection to the VRM portal or the internet.

How it works

The alarm activates when the connected GX device switches its relay, for example on a low state of charge or low voltage condition. The trigger threshold is set within the GX device itself, so the same alarm unit can be used across different battery chemistries and system configurations without any change to the unit. It is not a standalone device: a compatible GX device with a relay output is required for it to function.

Useful anywhere a local, audible warning is needed alongside remote monitoring: off-grid solar systems, marine and narrowboat installations, remote cabins and plant rooms, motorhome conversions, and commercial or residential battery storage systems already fitted with a Victron GX device.

Installation notes

Connect the unit to the relay output of a compatible GX device and set the trigger conditions in the GX device settings. Check the relay's voltage and current ratings before wiring, and have the work carried out by a competent electrician or qualified solar installer.
