Battery and appliance matching

The 1500W figure is the continuous output; 3000W is the short-duration peak rating. Add the running wattage of appliances that may operate together and check any start-up surge from motors or compressors. At full continuous load, this inverter can draw roughly 140A from a 12V battery system after typical conversion losses.

Confirm that the battery or battery bank, BMS, cables, fuse, isolator and connections can safely supply the required current. Battery chemistry compatibility does not guarantee that every battery has a sufficient discharge rating. Check the battery manufacturer’s limits before use.

Installation and protection

The aluminium housing contains two temperature-controlled cooling fans. Built-in protection functions cover under-voltage, over-voltage, overload, over-temperature and short circuit conditions. Mount the inverter in a dry, ventilated location, keep DC cable runs short and follow the supplied manual for cable and fuse requirements. Permanent or high-current installations should be completed by a suitably qualified person.
