The AHD17 60 x 55mm Heavy-Duty Tredsafe Stair Nosing is a durable, safety-first solution designed to meet the demands of DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) compliance in public, commercial, and industrial environments. Engineered for high-traffic applications, it features a 60mm tread and 55mm riser, making it ideal for installations where both safety and accessibility are critical.

Part of the Tredsafe Aluminator® range, this profile includes a glow-in-the-dark photoluminescent insert that stores energy from natural or artificial light. In the event of a power failure or low-light condition, the insert automatically glows—clearly outlining the stair edge and riser to assist in safe evacuation. No wiring, batteries, or maintenance are required.

The AHD17 profile is also equipped with a non-slip Tredsafe insert for maximum underfoot grip, reducing the risk of slips and falls. Supplied pre-drilled through the insert for screw-fixing, with colour-matched pips included to conceal fixings. Custom configurations such as undrilled or drilled-only channels with separately supplied inserts are available on request. Fixings not included—appropriate installation method should be selected based on subfloor type.
