Product overview

AGM batteries hold their electrolyte in a glass mat separator, so there is no free liquid acid. That makes them safe to fit in enclosed spaces, cabinets and vehicle compartments where a flooded battery would not be suitable. The valve-regulated design means no topping up and minimal gas emission under normal operation.

The M8 threaded insert terminals accept M8 bolts directly into the case, giving a mechanical connection that resists vibration and loosening. This matters in mobile, marine and generator-backed installations. Correct torque should be applied during fitting to avoid damaging the terminal insert.

Installation notes

Fit this battery with an installer familiar with lead-acid battery systems. Provide adequate ventilation, as hydrogen gas can be released under fault or overcharge conditions. Use the correct M8 bolt length and the manufacturer-specified torque. When wiring several batteries in series or parallel, use cables of equal length and cross-section. Set charger parameters to Victron's published AGM charge profile to avoid undercharging or overcharging.
