The Renogy 5 Strings Solar Combiner Box is the ideal solution to combine inputs from up to 5 strings of solar panels into a single output. It accepts up to five 1P miniature circuit breakers and one 2P surge protection device for improved safety of the solar system. The built-in standard DIN rail enables easy installation of the protection devices. Equipped with a rain cap and rubber seals, the grey steel enclosure is designed to survive in outdoor environments. The knockouts are reserved for waterproof strain reliefs or conduits.

Combining up to 5 solar panel inputs into one, and each input can be equipped with a circuit breaker which can protect wires and devices.
SAFETY PROTECTION
The product accepts up to five 1P miniature circuit breakers and one 2P surge protection device. They can provide overload/short circuit protection and lightning protection for improving the safety of the solar system.
Please note all the breakers, interrupter and surge protection device are not included.
IDEAL FOR OUTDOOR
Protection level at IP55. It is designed with a rain cap, the double slope design can be more effective to prevent from wind and rain, and makes the outdoor system use safer. The door is equipped with rubber seals which can prevent rain from entering the box.
PRODUCT DISPLAY
The diagram detailed shows all components of the box, besides these, waterproof strain reliefs or conduit are reserved for installation.
EASY TO USE
The product offers a built-in standard DIN rail for easy installation. Mounting holes are reserved on the back for fixationto make sure the box is firm and stable.
When you lock the door, screw the black ring first and then lock it with the key. When you open it, use the key first, and then twist the black ring.

1.If the ground wire is attached from the combiner box to the grounding rod, do the panels still need to be grounded?
If the panels are grounded to the same rod, I suppose you do not need to add a second grounding. In the case of an electrical storm, the grounding of the combiner panel is of the upmost importance.
2. Can I use different wattage panels to connect to this box?
No, only panels with the same voltage and wattage can be connected to the same box.
3. Under what circumstances is this used?
It is mainly used in home kits to combine up to 5 solar panel inputs into one single output, and it can be installed either indoor or outdoor.
4. Does a surge protective device have to be installed?
Yes, we suggested installing it in order to avoid device damage caused by lightning.
