The Osram DIM MCU is a 1-10V dimmer switch with a rotary knob, designed to control dimmable LED drivers from a single wall-mounted point. It can control up to 50 LED lights and outputs a variable 1-10V signal that feeds directly into the dimmable driver of each connected fitting.

How the 1-10v dimmer switch works

The switch sends a control signal between 1-10V to the input of the LED drivers using a pair of red and black cables. Installers need to run a 4-core cable to set the system up correctly: one core for live, one for neutral, and a pair for the positive and negative control signal. A push on/off function is built in, letting the installer cut the mains voltage directly at the switch.

Applications

Compatible with Voltacon dimmable LED products including dimmable LED panels, LED T8 and T5 tubes, downlighters and round panels, 30W and 50W low/high bay LED lights, non-corrosive fittings, and the full range of VOLTALED fittings. The unit installs into a standard flush device box.

Dimensions and environment

The switch measures 80 mm long, 80 mm wide and 40 mm high, finished in white, and operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 to +50°C at 50-60 Hz.
